Our goal is to put young people in real world situations to help them flourish. It is our belief that young people need to be exposed to their options to execute good decision making. We bridge that gap between a person knowing what they want to be and becoming just that. Bridging the Gap invests in social capital and constructs a strong network of professionals for youth of all ages to meet and shadow. We do this by carefully selecting certain field trips and functions for the young people to attend. We have regulars that go to every event but we are also obtaining new faces everyday. The growth is amazing and the feedback from parents is even better.
Bridging the Gap is a nonprofit organization on the move. We have redefined nonprofit expectations. Experience is imperative for success and experience is what we deliver. Our slogan is, “Leveling the Playing Field.” We stand by this knowing that a child’s beginning should not limit their future. Our Mission Statement is, “Providing helping hands to produce outstanding, self-motivated individuals through progressive, real world experiences.” This statement holds us accountable for providing young people with the keys to open doors that were once unimaginable.
